Our WAC league is for men and women Who Attend Church. We are trying to develop Christian men as mentors and role models for our community. People in our community love to play basketball so much that unchurched men will come just for the privilege of playing ball. So if you love Bball or if you love the Lord, come join us.

Wow I can’t believe, we have come this far, another end of a great season of basketball outreach where we try to instill godly character in our young men. I have watched a lot of guys mature into great young men, however there is one young man that stands out lately, whose character approaches our message. I would like to welcome Reginald Crosby: My name is Reginald Crosby, I am 18 years old, I’m about to graduate in January of 2009. I have a current G.P.A of a 3.2. Since Coming to Military Ave Church I’ve opened my eyes to Christ in a way I never thought possible. I used to be afraid of talking about Christ, especially in front of others, but now I have no problem. Especially when it comes to helping others get to know the Lord. I travel by bus all the way from the north side of Detroit to southwest Detroit, just to come to Military Ave church. There are so many churches I pass up just to come to Military Ave church, that’s how I can say Military Ave church is a special church. Despite growing up in a single home my mother taught me how to be the best man I could possible be. She taught me about respecting my elders, as well as my peers, and to always aim high. That’s why when the word of God is being spoken by Cedrick or Steve, I always pay close attention. Always take what they’re teaching us young men and women to heart. Also in letting my friends know that just because you love God and want to express it, does not mean you’re soft. I just want to let everyone know that we all need God, and to not be afraid to let him into your hearts. For those who don’t know Christ I pray that you get to know Christ the way that I do. I want to thank you Cedrick, Steve, and Pastor Brown for opening up your hearts and this gym to all of us. Thank you.
